i i Academy Survives First 100 Years With Difficulty Memphis, (INS)-One Memphis' favorite citizens is 100 years old plus and is hale and hearty despite the rigors of war, epidemics, fire and children's antics that have enlivened her long life. She is St. Agnes Academy, established a century ago as a "school for females." The services rendered the community by the academy has caused Memphians to consider the school as much alive as the 1700 girls who have graduated from the institution. St. Agnes owes her esixtence Father Thomas Grace, O.
