LUBBOCK, Texas — Memorial Day is observed every year on the final Monday of May to honor and remember those who have died serving the country.
Many will be hosting or attending gatherings and barbeques as the holiday marks summer’s unofficial start. EverythingLubbock.com created a list of businesses in the Hub City that will be open and closed on Memorial Day in case you are in need of last-minute supplies.
OPEN
Walmart – Open regular hours.
H-E-B – Open regular hours.
Sam’s Club – The store will close at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Target – Open regular hours.
Sprouts – Open regular hours.
Walgreens – The store will be open for its regular hours, but its pharmacy will be closed.
CVS – The story will be open for its regular hours. The pharmacy will have reduced hours, and times vary by location.
Home Depot – Open regular hours.
Lowe’s – Open regular hours.
CLOSED
Costco – Closed, opens Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.

LUBBOCK, Texas — One person was seriously injured after a crash on Sunday night, according to the Lubbock Police Department. Two other people suffered moderate injuries. LPD said one person was transported to University Medical Center. LPD said the call came in at 9:35 p.m. An LBKAlert said due to the traffic accident, Regis Street will be closed for eastbound traffic from North Holly Avenue to North Holly Avenue.
