Lee Sharpe has been impressed by Jarrad Branthwaite at Everton and thinks his former club will be interested in signing him because of his fitness record.

Sharpe speaking via theonline casino, said: "From what I’ve seen of him, he looks very capable and looks quick, aggressive and strong.

"He’s obviously stayed fit last season and seems pretty resilient and in an ideal world, they’re picking someone that doesn’t get injured too much so you can play a regular partnership at the back which always helps.

Man Utd legend Lee Sharpe has backed the club's pursuit of Eberechi Eze.

Sharpe speaking via theonline casino, said: "I certainly think he is the kind of player that United could do with. As much as he is a creative ballplayer and creates chances, he also does his fair share of working back and doesn’t give the ball away very cheaply, so I think he suits what every club is looking for, let alone Man United.

"But he’s certainly exciting, he can score goals, and he’s exactly what they need.

French publication L'Equipe have poured cold water over the transfer happening, after Man Utd and the Ligue 1 club were locked in talks.

The report adds that supporters of Marseille have launched a protest on social media against his signing, after he was accused of domestic violence.

Man Utd have reportedly enquired about Girona left-back Miguel Gutierrez, according to reports in Italy.

Relevo claim the Red Devils are one of a number of clubs tracking the defender.

However, any deal could be complicated.

His former club Real Madrid still own 50 per cent of the players rights and can execute a buy back option for around £6.8million.

Any other club will have to play as much as £30million.

That’s the claim from Spain tonight – with the Gunners linked to Frenchman Kounde and United said to be monitoring Uruguayan Araujo.

It’s suggested Arsenal have made contact with Barca over their target, who played in 35 of his club’s 38 LaLiga games.

Kounde also played in all three of France’s Euro 2024 group games this month.

But it’s reckoned Barcelona might only consider selling him if they keep Araujo.

And for now Barca are said to have knocked Arsenal back.
